They’ve become the go-to backing band for artists like Chrisette Michele and Frank McComb\, and have opened for stars including Robert Glasper and Raheem DeVaughn. Their sound is as electric as the city they call home. \nOver the course of five albums\, “aRe” (2011)\, “Bright Side Of Midnight” (2014)\,  “After Midnight” (2017)\, “The Future Is Bright” (2018)\, “The Rain” (feat. Khari Mateen) (Single) (2022)\, and “A Vertical Current Christmas” (2024)\, Vertical Current has uplifted and inspired audiences with strong melodies and funky rhythms showcasing the many ways this ensemble gets down.
