In 1979\, he founded the acclaimed Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble\, a group that has since become a staple in the jazz scene both in the U.S. and internationally. Under his leadership\, Arpeggio has toured extensively\, performing at major jazz festivals throughout Europe\, the Caribbean\, and South America. \nOree is known for his captivating command of the acoustic bass\, using extended techniques—such as bowing\, percussive knocking\, and layering effects with digital delay—to create a uniquely expressive sound.
