Warriors of the Wonderful Sound and the Philadelphia Clef Club are proud to present

guest artist alto Saxophonist Jaleel Shaw, the winner of the Rising Star alto Saxophone

category in the 2014 Downbeat Critics Polls.   The concert is a collaboration

between the Philadelphia Clef Club, “Bobby Zankel and the Warriors of the

Wonderful Sound.”

Bobby Zankel and the Warriors of the Wonderful Sound was founded in 2001 to support,

Promote, and encourage composing, performing, recording, interdisciplinary collaborations

and educational activities devoted to 21^st Century Jazz. We have worked for 15 years

creating a world class jazz large ensemble and presenting master musicians from

around the world “in residence’ as composers, conductors and soloists. Bobby Zankel

is an Artist in Residence at The Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz & Performing Arts.

In addition to serving as guest artist, Jaleel Shaw will conduct a master class for

middle and high school music majors and the Youth Ambassador Jazz Ensemble.
